Austin

"Hi, I’m Austin Laramee, a professional dog trainer and behavior specialist based in Akron, Ohio. I bring a passion-driven, play-based approach to training, with a focus on creating lasting results through owner education. I was fortunate to train under world-renowned professional Nate Schoemer. I specialize in behavior modification for dogs dealing with aggression, fear-based issues, as well as specializing in both on-leash and off-leash obedience. I believe that play is the foundation of the relationship between a dog and their owner, and my training style reflects that belief. No tool is more powerful than a dedicated owner, and I focus on bringing out the best in every dog—not just correcting behavior, but building character. Above all, I see myself as a teacher. Dog training is the subject, and both the dog and their human are my students. My philosophy is simple: training a dog is temporary, but teaching the owner is forever. When owners learn how to truly communicate and connect with their dogs, the results are lasting—and that’s where the real transformation happens."

"Hi! My name is Angela and I am an Air Force veteran with over 9 years of professional dog training experience! I am passionate about helping owners and their dogs grow as a team, and achieve their goals together. I love working with dogs of all breeds and sizes, and building meaningful connections with both owners and their dogs. When I’m not training, you can usually find me exploring local “sniff spots” with my pups, or settling in with a good book. I love staying active and continuing to learn and grow in the training world!"

"Hi, my name is Adam and my love for dogs started at a very young age. Growing up in northern Ohio, my mother was a breeder of AKC poodles, which allowed me to gain the confidence to work with many dogs. I have raised and trained several Labradors, German Shepherds, Terriers, and a lazy Basset Hound. I quickly realized that a traditional office job was not for me, and made a life pivot, quitting my insurance job to pursue a dog training career. I enjoy helping people understand their furry friends and the fun of exploring the world together. I have since become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and continue to constantly learn and grow in this industry to set owners and their dogs up for success on many adventures together!"

"Hello! My name is Orlando and I’ve been training dogs for over 8 years! In that time I’ve developed a deep passion for helping dogs and their owners build stronger, more trusting relationships. I specialize in reactivity and behavior modification, focusing on helping dogs work through challenges and learn how to confidently navigate the world around them. Alongside my behavioral work, I also train personal protection dogs, emphasizing obedience, control, and real-world dependability. I’m an active participant in the ABKC, ABR, and UKC show rings, where I enjoy showcasing the dedication and structure that go into developing well-rounded dogs. My favorite breeds are the American Bully and the Belgian Malinois—both known for their intelligence, drive, and loyalty. Whether I’m working with a family companion or a competition dog, my goal is always the same: to bring out each dog’s full potential while creating a strong bond and line of communication between them and their owner."

"Hi! My name is Bree and I was raised in a family of passionate dog lovers. My journey into the world of dog training began early with my first junior dog, a Newfoundland named Goliath. What started as a childhood passion has grown into a deeply rooted professional career shaped by years of hands-on experience, and the mentorship of skilled trainers. I am now a dedicated member of the BK9T team, and bring a comprehensive and versatile skill set to my work. My expertise includes starting puppies on the right path, building strong obedience foundations, advancing dogs through high-level obedience and trick training, and addressing behavior challenges through thoughtful behavior modification. I also work with confirmation training and preparing dogs for performance sports. I also have extensive experience working with service dog teams. My approach is grounded in clarity, structure, and balanced methods that support both the dog and their owner in achieving long-term success."
