Miranda Foskey is a professional dog trainer whose passion for animals began while growing up on an 80-acre farm in Delaware. Surrounded by animals from an early age, Miranda developed a particular fascination with dogs—the way they think and learn, the relationships they build with people, and the incredible partnership that can develop between a dog and owner.
What began as a childhood passion grew into a professional calling. In 2018, Miranda began dedicating herself more extensively to canine training and behavior, focusing not only on helping dogs develop better behavior and obedience, but also on teaching owners how to understand, communicate with, and confidently work with their dogs.
Miranda has experience with aggression and reactivity, advanced obedience, puppy development, confidence building, and socialization. She has a particular passion for working with dogs that are fearful, anxious, nervous, or lacking confidence and social skills. Her patience and ability to meet dogs where they are allows her to help them work through challenges at a pace that supports meaningful, lasting progress.
Her training philosophy is centered around training the dog in front of her. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, Miranda customizes each program and training session around the individual dog’s temperament, needs, and learning style while keeping the owner’s goals in focus. She believes a successful trainer must be able to adapt in the moment and recognize what each individual dog needs to succeed.
For Miranda, some of the most rewarding transformations happen when a dog that was once fearful or shut down begins experiencing the world with greater confidence, freedom, and enthusiasm. Helping create that transformation doesn’t just change the dog’s life—it can open an entirely new world for the family who loves them.
Above all, Miranda is passionate about helping both ends of the leash. Her goal is to create confident, capable dogs while giving owners the understanding and skills necessary to build stronger, healthier, and more fulfilling relationships with their companions.
