Katelyn Foskey’s passion for dogs began at a very young age while growing up on a farm surrounded by horses, a family-owned kennel business, and her loyal German Shepherd sidekick, Salena. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong love for animals and laid the foundation for a career dedicated to understanding, training, and advocating for dogs of all breeds and temperaments.
Over 12 years ago, Katelyn set her sights on competing at a high level with working dogs, immersing herself in the study of canine psychology, behavior, body language, learning theory, and advanced training techniques. Her commitment to mastering the craft led her to spend countless hours studying and gaining hands-on experience with working dogs.
Approximately eight years ago, Katelyn imported a Belgian Malinois named Stryker from Europe with the goal of pursuing high-level competition. That experience further fueled her passion for working dogs and solidified her dedication to professional dog training. Since then, she has spent years training dogs, developing working K9s, and working extensively as a decoy and bite-suit helper in protection sports and personal protection training.
Katelyn’s experience spans a wide range of disciplines, including Puppy Foundations, Basic and Advanced Obedience, Therapy Dog Development, Severe Behavior Modification, Personal Protection Training, and working with dogs that have extensive bite histories and complex behavioral challenges. She has successfully helped families transform difficult situations into lasting success through clear communication, structure, and individualized training plans.
As a balanced trainer, Katelyn believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to dog training. Rather than following a rigid playbook, she focuses on understanding each dog’s unique personality, each owner’s goals, and the specific challenges they face. Her mission is to create harmony, trust, and clear communication between dogs and their families, resulting in confident owners, reliable dogs, and stronger lifelong relationships.
For Katelyn, the most rewarding part of her work is helping families move from frustration, stress, and uncertainty to a life of freedom, confidence, and enjoyment with their canine companions. Watching that transformation take place is what continues to inspire her every day.
When she’s not working with clients, Katelyn can be found training alongside her team and personal working dogs, preparing for competition, developing personal protection K9s, or spending time on the water kayak fishing with her family and closest friends.
Her goal is simple: help every dog and owner reach their full potential while building a relationship rooted in trust, respect, and understanding
